DESCRIPTION:
Discover this 4.2 mile loop trail near Baltimore, Maryland. This route is recommended for experienced paddlers and is generally considered a moderately challenging trail. Paddlers can expect to see lots of wildlife on this trail.  The best time to visit is May through October. This trail is accessible via kayak launch at Middle Branch Park or the public boat ramps at Broening Park or Southwest Area Park.

The Masonville Cove Trail takes paddlers to visit the country’s first certified urban wildlife refuge. The trail can be accessed from Broening Park, Middle Branch Park, or Southwest Area Park. It connects to the Middle Branch Loop to the west and the Fort McHenry Crossing to the east. The Masonville Cove Environmental Education Center and shoreline are open to the public during regularly scheduled hours, so paddlers should check www.masonvillecove.org prior to visiting. Upon arriving, all visitors are asked to please check in at the nature center.

ACCESS POINT & LAUNCH DETAILS:
The Broening Park Boat Ramp is located in Middle Branch Park, located in the Cherry Hill Area of South Baltimore. The Park is located on the Patapsco River and features picturesque city views.The park has two boat launches and two fishing piers.
