DESCRIPTION:
Discover this 5.5 mile loop trail near Baltimore, Maryland. This route is recommended for experienced paddlers and is generally considered a moderately challenging trail. This trail offers birdwatching and city views, and paddlers are likely to encounter wildlife along the route. The best time to visit is between May and October.

The Inner Harbor North Shore Trail takes users on a perimeter paddle along the north shore of the Northwest Branch from Canton Waterfront Park to the Inner Harbor. Paddlers can launch from Canton Waterfront Park

This route is accessible via a public boat ramp at Canton Waterfront Park.

Proposed Enhancements:

A more beginner-friendly “Inner Harbor Loop” currently has no access points. Paddlers must launch from elsewhere and then paddle into the Inner Harbor. It is recommended that a public kayak launch be added to Rash Field Park in the Inner Harbor. It is also recommended that 1-3 rest stops be provided at points of interest.
