Blueway Water Trails
8 Water Trails Across 20 Miles of Baltimore’s Iconic Waterfront
The Baltimore Blueway is a network of eight water trails spanning over 20 miles of urban shoreline, connecting a diverse array of cultural, historic, and natural sites for unique and awe-inspiring paddling experiences along Baltimore's Waterfront.
A Blueway Water Trail is a designated route along a waterway specifically designed for people to use non-motorized boats like kayaks, canoes, standup paddleboards, or rowboats. The water trails, are the aquatic equivalent of a hiking trail (or “greenway”).
Water trails feature well-developed access points; are near significant historic, environmental, or cultural points of interest; and often include nearby amenities such as restaurants, hotels, museums, or parks.
